In 1984, Conmix was the first company outside the Western Province to start manufacturing high quality hollow cement blocks. It eventually became the benchmark for all other manufacturers in the region and was the first to be certified with SLS Standards. Today its still the market leader and a second factory was set up in Ampara in the Eastern side of the country to supply to the demand of cement blocks in that region..

Since 1985 the company has had a Distribution sector handling leading building materials brands such as Anton and Lanka Wall Tiles. This sector with its own fleet of vehicles operates in the Central Province region

In the 90’s, Conmix was leading in manufacturing factories for the Garment Industry setting up plants in many various regions of the country.

In 1999, started Colourcon Roofing Tiles (Pvt) Ltd. The first Automated PLC controlled roof tile plant in South Asia..

In 2005, the construction section was awarded M1 grade certification, the highest grade for a Construction company paving way for many large scale projects to be initiated.
